Re: New to Div. C, tips?

Veteran scioly.org users are currently working on a project for most (if not all) of the 2014 events. It will be revealed on scioly.org in early August, so I'd recommend checking back then and taking a look at it. PM zyzzyva98 if you have any questions. Good luck.

Re: Future Tournament Sites

Ah I see you missed 2011 in Madison, that was also a spectacularly well-run tournament. I agree though that Wright State was so much better than Central Florida in 2012. And it looks like Wright State is indeed planning to host another invitational next year, at least according to the Ohio 2013-2014...

Re: SciOly Superlatives 2013

I feel really dumb asking this since it's at the top...but what are assassins and officers? There's a posting game played in the posting games subforum which has titles of the form "SciOly Assassination [Number]: [Theme]" (they're on game #101 right now) in which the assassin is the secre...

Re: Science Olympiad 2013-2014

On the tentative list for 2013-2014, there is no focused topic for astronomy. For example, for anatomy, the list states that next year's topics are going to be the nervous, integumentary, and immune system. Is Astronomy topicless next year? The Astronomy topics have historically not been listed on ...

Re: Teaching Material for Elementary School Science Students

There are a few miscellaneous practice tests and resources on the Minnesota Division A website, http://moodle.moundsviewschools.org/course/view.php?id=180 (login as a guest). North Carolina has a more comprehensive set of resources on each of its Division A events at http://www.sciencenc.com/events....

Re: Minnesota 2013

Complex Machines is indeed the title of an event. Also, Roller Coaster was run as a trial in Ohio and Virginia this past year, so it's not completely unheard of. I wish the MN board of directors wasn't so averse to Mission Possible though, because I think it's a great challenge and not necessarily a...
