I did, for two years. Won state both times. I love this event- it's definitely one of my favorite in B.

For me, the gap between Regionals and State is insane. My first year, we did so well at Regionals that we didn't practice as much when it came time for State.
...long story short, now we practice frequently.
Last year, we did better at Regionals AND State, even though the printer malfunctioned at State and we were held behind while they tried to fix it. We were the last team, and everyone else has already printed out their papers. I had another event across campus, so I was freaking out.
But as long as you go on the website and try to locate everything ahead of time, you'll do better than if you don't.

This event unfortunately conflicts at state with meteorology so I won't be able to do this event :(

I just visited the CDC website. It doesn't look that hard to find things on, since it lists them by alphabetical order at the top. On second thought, it would be hard to determine where the data you're looking for is, since you probably wouldn't know what letter it starts with...

I don't really find that a problem. I couldn't navigate myself through noaa.gov and all I used was google and still placed 1st. Does being able to navigate through from the home page really matter?

Well, the homepage is always a good place to start. Always check for the easy out first, the test might give you one. Go through the subdomains listed on the homepage and see if any of them can give you the answers you seek. If they can't, then go onto your search engines.

Does anyone have any CDC practice events they'd like to share? I only have the one currently on the Test Exchange.

Since CDC is a new website, they may be hard to come by. Tell you what, when I get out of the busy part of my schedule, I'll make another. That might not be for awhile, but in the meantime, you could try to write your own. It will really help you learn the ins and outs of the site and the event.
