Crave the Wave helpppppppp

*raises eyebrows* You can do sines on a regular scientific calculator... and as a 9th grader (plus I'm taking 10th grade math... long story short, math is my thing), I forget that not everyone necessarily is familiar with trig.

Well I hardly understand it at all, so they would do well to keep it out.

when i did the event i thought snells law was really easy. I dont' remember it now, it's been over year. You just use a scientific calculator.

Exactly, with just a regular TI scientific, you can do any trig stuff that you need.
In competition, I always miss my graphing calculator- I love my TI-83+, at the risk of sounding like a total math nerd (but then again, if I didn't like math, I wouldn't do this event)- just because I'm so much more used to using it these days, but a scientific does have all the functions necessary.

Crave the Wave is the event I like the least, but I am an alternate for that event. If the top two in Crave the Wave cannot compete because of the schedule, I will have to compete. If I do have compete, I have some major studying to do.

I'm only an eighth grader in ninth grade math, so I've got NO CLUE at all whatsoever about Snell's Law, and wikipedia doesn't help much... Can someone please help?
My name is Eileen.
I'm a proud Aspie girl.
My events are Physical Science Lab (first at state), Ornithology (first at state), and Shock Value (third at state), this year.
We're going to NATIONALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I am from Yankton, South Dakota.

Me too! But they shouldn't have it on the test. If they have any sense. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Most CTW tests I've taken have Snell's Law thoguh....

At first it's hard, but once you get the hang of it it's not so bad...

Compute This (2nd Nats)
