I would be surprised if Glaciers was included, as Glaciers was its own Dynamic Planet topic back in 05/06.

I agree. Glaciers and Aquifers should be left out, they're separate events by themselves.

I disagree on aquifers. If the topic is fresh water, then any groundwater features and sciences should be included, as they are fresh water related. Also, Awesome Aquifer was also part construction i think.

So, for AA, basically you studied aquifers, then built a model of one before/at the competition? (I'm not in Div B anymore, but I'm student coaching my old team.)

For AA you where given a written test based mainly on vocab and concepts than you where told a set of concepts (i.e subsidence (i think thats the correct term) water table and effects of chemicals on the aquifer) that you had to create in an aquifer model during the competition
I have some old tests from when I did it. I have to get them but I should be able to upload at least one tomorrow

Yes, Aquifer was half test and then half building a model. After you built the model you would have to present it to a judge and explain concepts using the model. I really, really liked the presentation part of that event- I think it goes into another area of sciences and skills that the usual written Olympiad tests deal with.
