Hey man, New York still has a lot of cool trials.
North Carolina never gets anything... This year our only trial is Sumo Bots cause our state doesn't want to have it count as a real event.

Anyone in TX had better support this event! I wanna see this one go nationwide. It's something different. Really...people tend to not care about Dalton or Curie or Tesla because they go on the backburner in science class and only get treatment in history until you hit Kepler.

I dunno, but the same's true in IL.

State Directors are allowed quite a bit of leeway in regards to which events to run, including running a 'partial slate' of the events and adding trial / pilot events.

sounds like it could be extremely easy or extremely hard depending on if they get questions on the most famous scientists or really unheard of scientist... but i would try it if my state ever decided to do trial events...

I really wish this was a national event. I was worried it wouldn't be a Texas trial event again this year. It's an interesting event for me, but it's been really random this year. Most invitationals can have nearly anything on the test. Overall, it's a pretty fun event and here's a link to the rules if you guys are interested:

Also, it's an interesting event because you can't depend on resources and all info has to be memorized. It gives some people an advantage and while some people are at a disadvantage.

Same here! Unfortunately RI doesn't do the really awesome trials, but I'm still going to hope that it does make it as a trial in my state, maybe even as a real event.
