Virtually any adhesive that meets the rules is adequate, i.e. silicone or polyurethane adhesives. This is probably the least important factor to experiment with in this event. Work on fins, nose cones, CG, etc.

Does any body know the purpose of the water in this event? Is it just for weight, or does it help propulsion? :?: :)

It's for propulsion. Since water is non-compressible and air is, the high air pressure inside the bottle will force the water out with more force than air would force air out with. Which hopefully propels the rocket skywards.

What should I use for a nose cone?

it depends on your design.
paper works, plastic works, Styrofoam works.
just make sure a bottle cap can be set on top without a problem

My first attempt at creating a bottle rocket has utterly failed. I suppose that's what I get for not reading the instructions on the glue bottle. :|

Is there anything that we should be adding other than fins and a nose cone?
