-The path of the Administrator is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

-Nothing\'s gonna get deleted. We\'re gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what\'s Fonzie like? Come on, what\'s Fonzie like?
-Cool?
-Correctamundo. And that\'s what we\'re gonna be. We\'re gonna be cool. Now, I\'m gonna count to three, and when I count three, you let go of your mouse, and back away from the keyboard. But when you do it, you do it cool. Ready? One... two... three.

This event sounds extremely confusing and random judging by the rules, too bad its not a taste event

And a 'taste' event wouldn't be 'random judging'? You can't be much more subjective than the sense of taste.

The trial event rules in North Carolina last year included a taste test of competitors' pre-cooked pancakes. That must have been fun for the judges. :P

You need to know how to do benedict's test, iodine test, and biuret test.
You also need to know the periodic table including honc hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon.
Also know chemical structures.

You know I signed up for this event and have started taking some notes and I actually find it kinda fun sounding, after all its food.

Why did he go vegetarian??

Anyway, I am wondering how on Earth we should interpret the rules that state one word for something we should know on the test, Section C to be exact, how are we supposed to know what to study about that word?

This event caught my eye this year because:
1. It's about food.
2. It's about baking.
3. I like food and baking.
So, I decided to do some research. It does seem harder than most events, which is why they allow you a whole three ring binder to take to the competition. But based on the three reasons above (and the fact that I need some new events since they took out Ecology), I've decided to give this event a try.

The Homemade Viscosity Testing Device is described at the bottom of page 11 in the Division B Rules Manual.
